Your privacy is important to us.
At Ansid Services Inc. (“Ansid”), we have a few fundamental principles:
- We don’t ask you for personal information unless we truly need it.
- We don’t share your personal information with anyone except to comply with the law, develop, utilize and enhance our products and services, share with others whose services you subscribe to in connection with the Service or protect our rights.
- We don’t store personal information on our servers or our third-party vendors or hosting services unless required for the ongoing operation of one of our services.
Ansid makes available services including our web sites (ansid.ca, app.ansidbi.com (collectively the “Sites”)), our blog, our API, and any other software, sites, and services offered by Ansid in connection to any of those (taken together, the “Service”). It is Ansid’s policy to respect your privacy regarding any information we may collect while operating our Sites.
If you give us PII, we won’t do anything intentionally harmful with it.
Visitors and Users
Ansid collects non PII of the sort that web browsers and servers typically make available, such as the browser type, language preference, referring site, and the date and time of each visitor request. Ansid’s purpose in collecting non PII is to better understand how Ansid’s visitors use the Service and the Sites. From time to time, Ansid may release non PII in the aggregate and anonymized, e.g., by publishing a report on trends in the usage of the Service and the Sites.
Ansid also collects potentially PII like Internet Protocol (IP) addresses. Ansid does not use such information to identify its visitors, however, and does not disclose such information, other than under the same circumstances that it uses and discloses PII, as described below. We may also collect and use IP addresses to block users who violate our terms of service.
Gathering of PII
Certain visitors to the Sites and users of the Service choose to interact with Ansid in ways that require Ansid to gather PII. The amount and type of information that Ansid gathers depends on the nature of the interaction. Ansid collects such information only insofar as is necessary or appropriate to fulfill the purpose of their interaction with Ansid. Ansid does not disclose PII other than as described below. And visitors can always refuse to supply PII, with the caveat that it may prevent them from engaging in certain Service-related activities.
Additionally, some interactions, such as posting a comment, may ask for optional personal information. For instance, when posting a comment, may provide a website that will be displayed along with a user’s name when the comment is displayed. Supplying such PII is completely optional.
Ansid may collect statistics about the behavior of visitors to its Sites and users of the Service. For instance, Ansid may monitor the most popular parts of the Ansid Sites. Ansid may display this information in the aggregate publicly or provide it to others. However, Ansid does not disclose PII other than as described below.
Protection of Certain PII
Ansid discloses potentially PII and PII only to those of its employees, contractors, affiliated organizations and third-party vendors and hosting services that (i) need to know that information to process it on Ansid’ behalf or to provide Services, and (ii) that have agreed not to disclose it to others. Some of those employees, contractors, affiliated organizations and third-party vendors and hosting services may be located outside of your home country; by accessing or using the Service, you irrevocably consent to the transfer of such information to them. Ansid will not rent or sell potentially PII and PII to anyone. Other than to its employees, contractors affiliated organizations and third-party vendors and hosting services, as described above, Ansid discloses potential PII and PII only when reasonably required to do so by law, or when Ansid believes in good faith that disclosure is reasonably necessary to protect the property or rights of Ansid, third parties or the public at large. If you are a registered user of Services and have supplied your email address, Ansid may occasionally send you an email to tell you about new features, solicit your feedback, or just keep you up to date with what’s going on with Ansid and our Services. We primarily use our website and blog to communicate this type of information. If you send us a request (for example via a support email or via one of our feedback mechanisms), we reserve the right to publish it to help us clarify or respond to your request or to help us support other users. Ansid takes measures reasonably designed to protect against the unauthorized access, use, alteration, or destruction of potentially PII and PII, but there is no guarantee of confidentiality.
If Ansid, or substantially all of its assets, were acquired, or in the unlikely event that Ansid goes out of business or enters bankruptcy, user information would be one of the assets that is transferred or acquired by a third party. You acknowledge that such transfers may occur, and that any acquirer of Ansid may continue to use your PII as set forth in this policy.
Ansid uses third party vendors and hosting services to provide the necessary hardware, software, data, networking, storage, and related technology required to run the Services. You understand that although you retain full rights to your data, it may be stored on third party storage and transmitted through third party networks.
